As a photographer, my journey started in Estes Park on a simple vacation with my brother.  Snapping photos all the way up and down the park, I felt a connection with the camera and was instantly hooked on the view I got through the lens.  15 years late, I found myself shooting shooting a wedding in the same park but with much more experience.  Oh what a day it was.  Beautiful couple, Rocky Mountains, snow, and plenty of time to photograph the couple made this day a photographer’s dream!  I loved the decor for the reception and boy did the DJ get them dancing.  This group traveled from all over for this great celebration and Rob and Tracy made sure that it was worth it.  Food and drinks abundant, smiles and laughter filled the room, and views all around made for a perfect mountain wedding!  Enjoy this wedding story and thank you for inviting Sarah and I to capture it!

July 4th is so special to so many, we celebrate our independence and enjoy friends and family.  In this case, Chris and Kristen are celebrating the union of two wonderful families by their marriage.  Kristen was exquisite from head to toe, and Chris was a class act that was calm, cool, collect and organized their entire day with style.  We were excited to head to the gondolas to take photos on top of the mountain in lovely Vail, CO, but alas, we were thwarted by the infamous Colorado afternoon lightening storm.  So we did what anyone would do in Vail, we walked the village, and enjoyed the river and all the characters decked out in their red white and blue.  The reception came together beautifully with gourmet food at the Larkspur, replete with ice cream and petite donuts for dessert. Meet Scott and Ashley, best friends, dog lovers, and newlyweds!  Little Dante the dog was the center of attention as the ring bearer during this beautiful ceremony and reception at Hudson Gardens in Denver.  Never to be upstaged, the lovely bride, Ashley was cool, calm and collect, as her day came together just as she had planned.  Scott beamed with pride at his bride and the festivities were joyful, surrounded by their best friends.  To complete this sweet day, Hudson Gardens will forever be special as Ashley had a stone engraved into the sidewalk to commemorate their blessed event.  Congratulations from us to you, we hope Tahiti was amazing!

Estes Park Wedding Photography Meet Jake and Christina!  I was lucky enough to be the one chosen to do their Estes Park Wedding Photography and boy was it a blast!  Located at the YMCA in Estes, the cabin Christina was getting ready in overlooked the town of Estes and was the perfect location for her to relax, breath in the fresh air, and get ready for her mountain side wedding.  After doing some photos of her getting ready, I drove up the dirt road to the ceremony location and was happy to see blue skies and bright sun.  Later, as we drove up to get ready for the ceremony to start, as is normal for Colorado, a storm blew in.  It blew in and went by within 15 minutes and there was the sun and blue skies once more.  The cool thing about weddings in Colorado is that everyone is so laid back and with the views, running a little late for weather is nothing.  The photo I included with two shots of the ceremony locations were taken within 15 minutes of each other.  Wow.  It was a touching and fun ceremony and we quickly went into family photos and wedding party photos taking advantage of the beautiful natural background.  After guests headed to the reception, the magic began.  Driving down the hillside stopping and capturing dynamic images with the couple and allowing them to have time together to enjoy the first hour as man and wife.  They had new tattoos ready just in time for the wedding so of course we had to capture that the best way we could.   Onto the reception we went and enjoyed music, food, drinks and laughter all night.  Special moments like the father / daughter dance with a twist made everyone tear up, myself included.  This is a family of love and respect and you could see it throughout the day.  Enjoy this story of their special day through photography!

With the Events Guru, Mitchell Ray overseeing the day, all was right with the world. Classic, rustic elegance, plus a sweet couple, very much in love made for a tear-filled and heart felt ceremony. The reception was beautifully adorned with burlap goodness and completed by a tasty menu from Greens Point Catering. Hillside Gardens Wedding Photographer David Coleman of D Coleman Photography ~  I love photographing weddings here.  Not only is it a beautiful venue with a gorgeous mountain background, but it is extremely organized on the wedding day.

Meet Luke and Carlie, seriously, as sweet as they are adorable.  We began our day at Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs, CO, with prayers the rain would hold off, and it did!  What a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, as the clouds swept over Pike’s Peak in the background and gave a misty and romantic feel, to an already magical day. We had such a great time with these two and their wonderful family, who made us feel like family too!  Thank you, Luke and Carlie for choosing us to capture such a special once-in-a-lifetime day!  Enjoy your photos and congratulations for many, many Happy Anniversaries!

What a location to get married.  Mountains to the West, East, North, and South!  On a rustic ranch deep in Colorado, Amanda and Andre became man and wife in God’s country.  Amanda is a graphic designer so I knew this wedding would be done to perfection and it was.  The decor for the reception was beautifully done with custom elements I have yet to see at a wedding.  Her style for the dresses and hair piece were perfect for this setting and the guys didn’t look bad either.

With their loyal dog by their side, Andre and Amanda followed us around the property to capture lifelong memories.  At some point, Brody decided he wanted to be the focus of attention and they couldn’t resist.  He even came into the reception hall to have his first dance with “mom and dad”.  Priceless.

At the start of the ceremony, I could see the nerves that Andre was feeling.  But as soon as he saw his bride, Andre melted and there was an unmistakable tunnel vision shared between the two as his eyes filled with tears.  As he let out a long sigh, you could see the relief and excitement in his stance as he took his bride’s arm.  Proud parents and friends watched as they shared vows and rings finishing with the all important kiss.

As a Pines Ranch Westcliffe Colorado Photographer I know that I will be back to this gorgeous venue but I also know that this one will always be special for me because not only was it the perfect day, it was also on my birthday.  What better way to celebrate than to do what I love in Colorado! Colorado Outdoor Wedding

A Colorado Outdoor Wedding is hard to beat!  Even though it was raining a bit, this couple went through with their outdoor plan and it was the right choice!  No only was it beautiful, but if gave me the opportunity to capture the special moments that sometimes can’t get in a crowded indoor backup plan.  As Heather walked down the aisle, there was not a dry eye and that’s including me.  A very special honor having her sister officiate the wedding made this even more magical.  The groomsmen were fun, the bridesmaids were fun, and as you can see, the bride and groom have a fun sense of humor as well.  Gourmet food and drinks for everyone made this reception not only a greta party, but a wonderful dinning experience.  I was so touched when the bride danced with her mom, the emotions just spilled out and the photos were just breathtaking.  Enjoy this story of their wedding!

Love, love, LOVE this session!  Always wanted to do a camping themed session and last week Lauren made that happen with her crafty tent making skills.  Complete with Champagne, S’mores, and of course, kisses.  We planned on going to the tundra but as it is in Colorado, weather turned us around and down the mountain.  Of course, finding another location to setup the tent was easy since Aspens are all around us.  I loved working with their dog Scout and he was very interested in what I was all about. We were hoping to do a fire for photos as well as making the s’mores, but due to the tight location we were unable to.  So what do you do when you have everything to make s’mores except fire? Colorado Engagement Photographer

Colorado Engagement Photographer ~ Here is a recent engagement session that I had the pleasure to shoot.  Zach and Julie recently booked us for their wedding in November and I told them we must go up to the reservoir on the way up Pikes Peak.  They were thrilled with the idea and the location did not disappoint!

When shooting and engagement session I like to get to know the couple as well as let them get comfortable with me so the wedding day is more relaxed.  I know when the wedding day comes we will get dynamic images because this couple is photogenic times 10!  They brought their trusty dog as well as a few props to include into some photos and the outfits were perfect.  Mixed with the light and background, these images are colorful and relaxing with lots of love.

Meet Kevin and Jessica.  We met up at their favorite hangout blocks away from their home in downtown Denver, Denver Beer Co.  We talked a bit about their wedding day while they shared a beer to relax for the session.  How excited I was to find out that their wedding will be at Red Rocks on the 4th of July!  This photographer is going to be in heaven!  After that we walked around downtown taking advantage of beautiful architecture as well as the river they love to take their dog.  Jessica is an architect and this was the perfect style for them.  We did bubblegum, magazines, and fireworks!  Finishing on the hill where their house is overlooking Downtown Denver was the perfect ending to a perfect evening and I for one had a blast capturing these images.  Check them out!

Breckenridge Engagement Photographer David of D Coleman Photography loves Aspen trees.  Where is the best place to go to photograph a couple with Aspen??  Yes, of course Aspen, CO.  But where else??  That’s right, Breckenridge, CO.  Just a stone’s throw from Aspen, Breckenridge sits over 10,ooo feet above sea level and is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.  So, Michelle and Brock decided to take a trip to Breckenridge for their engagement photos.  Not only did they come, but they invited Brock’s parents who are celebrating their 35th year anniversary.  Wow!  What an accomplishment.  So, I took the four of them on a photo site seeing tour and got to take in the scenery myself while getting to know these two couples.  Brock didn’t care to see his parents kiss, so I made sure to have them kiss alot!  Rich with color and emotion, these two sessions are out of this world!  Enjoy! Meet Chris and Meg, a beautiful couple getting married next August.  He’s from California, and she’s from Florida.  Loving the fact that even though they started at opposite coasts they met in Colorado and have been together ever since!  Their style is unbelievably cool and Manitou was the perfect place to capture their engagement pics.  The colors, the funky buildings, and of course, Lovers Ln.  When I saw their outfits the first thing that came to mind was a classic car and bam, there it was!  We has a blast waking around Manitou between spotting the same puppy over and over again as well as some interesting characters wanting to add in their input on what would make a good photo.  Always entertaining to be in Manitou.  Check out my favorites from this session, I know you will love them as I do!
